About Us

Who We Are
The Carnaval Spring Festival, which is presented by the Afro-Brazilian drum and dance ensemble Batucaxé, Children’s Museum Tucson and 2nd Saturdays Downtown on Saturday, April 14, 2012, began in 2008. It is unique among our community celebrations in its ability to bring Tucson together each spring to celebrate itself and to share its music, color and culture. It’s an event for the entire family and community!

Our Mission
The mission of the Carnaval Spring Festival is to create a participatory multi-cultural celebration inviting all members of the community to a parade and festival in celebration of humanity, the planet, and new beginnings.
